evidence-based clarity in design

maria myrskyvuori

UX Designer working at the intersection of usability, complex product design and medical technology.

My approach

Usability is a discipline that reduces risk, increases clarity and supports better decisions. Behind every interface is a human mind trying to make sense of it, and design works best when people don’t have to think about it.

My work focuses on turning cognitive and technical complexity into clear, intuitive experiences. Working with medical technology has strengthened my focus on usability, safety and the realities of complex workflows. I translate complex requirements and constraints into coherent solutions that are user-centered, testable and built to work as part of a larger system.

Designing clear, intuitive workflows and interfaces for complex digital products, with usability and real-world use at the center.

UX & Interaction Design

Building scalable component systems, patterns and documentation that improve consistency and make design easier to maintain and implement.

Design Systems

Evaluating interfaces through usability testing, heuristic analysis and evidence-based methods to identify friction, risk and opportunities for improvement.

Usability & Evaluation

Understanding users, tasks and real-world workflows to turn complex requirements into informed design decisions.

SELECTED PROJECTS

In the intersection of psychology, where decisions are based, and computer science, where they can be implemented, UX Designer is building a bridge between human needs, business goals and technology choices.

I’m currently focused on my work in medical technology and the Design system project I’m building there. I’m not actively looking for a new role, but I’m always interested in meeting people working on complex products, usability and design systems, and open to hearing about interesting opportunities for the future.
